Created from the 2004 biography Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow. The show covers Hamilton’s life as an America's Founding Father and his participation in the American Revolution and the political and economic history of the early United States. Not to mention Hamilton's dramatic death by Vice President Aaron Burr in a duel.
The Musical debuted in 2015, Hamilton went on to win 8 Drama Desk Awards, 11 Tony Awards from 18 nominations, and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize.
Miranda and the cast of Hamilton seek to tell the story of "America then, as told by America now." To do so, Hamilton casts black and Hispanic actors as the American Founding Fathers and other major roles.
