It’s shameless, got a whole lot of sass, and bloody murder, it’s smart, and is very, very… homicidal!
It’s the world’s most sassiest musical — the one that is celebrating its 50th year on Broadway in 2025, the musical that sent the world into a flat spin with its juicy storyline, pizzazz, original choreography, earworm kind of music, bloodthirst, and scheming; this spring the murder and music will be coming right to your doorstep!
Cincinnati, get ready for a whole lot of vaudeville-vixens and man-murderers, because the Tony Award-winning Chicago is coming to the Procter & Gamble Hall at Aronoff Center on Thursday 26th March 2026, and you’ve got to experience it for yourself!

Chicago put simply is "Devilish and Delightful"!The Broadway blockbuster, ever-sexy, elegant, and entertaining Broadway hit musical is about to make its latest appearance in Cincinnati, this March, at the glamorous Procter & Gamble Hall at Aronoff Center. Witness Chicago this spring in the charming Cincinnati, on Thursday 26th March 2026, at the remarkable Procter & Gamble Hall at Aronoff Center.
This global story of fame, fortune, and musicals, delves into the compromises made in pursuit of stardom. Chicago is a powerful and entertaining story conveyed through song and choreography.
The production is the second-longest running performance ever to be presented on Broadway, outranked only by "The Phantom of the Opera". Chicago portrays the story of two competing and vaudevillian performers named Velma and Roxie imprisoned in jail for murder.
While Velma is already a well-known vaudevillian performer, Roxie is a up-and-coming performer trying to build her fame. Although they were both jailed for murder they had different incentives. Velma's intent was betrayal and revenge after finding her husband and sister in a compromising position. Conversely, Roxie's motive was calculated ambition and ruthlessness. Thus, unlike Velma's action, which was driven by emotion, Roxie's strategy was calculated, and was intentionally used to draw notoriety.
In between, Chicago also reveals the hidden game played by law enforcement and civilians. Roxie's and Velma's lawyer Billy Flynn, who focuses on defending female prisoners charged of murder is seen transforming courtroom proceedings into theatrical events, by tweaking his client's case into sensational shows composed of spectacle and sympathy.
While Matron "Mama" Morton is portrayed helping the two convicts build a connection with the outside world, mainly with Billy, and exploiting the other criminals for her benefit.
Chicago is an interesting production that symbolizes the global power game and the different forms it might take such as; attraction, fortune, fame, and intellect to deceive the masses for personal ultimate selfish satisfaction.
The musical has received an array of esteemed awards featuring a total of 6 Tony Awards, 5 Drama Desk Awards, 1 Grammy award, 1 Olivier Award, 6 Academy Awards (Oscars), 3 Golden Globe Awards, 1 BAFTA Award, and 2 SAG Awards.
Chicago has left a unforgettable mark on the theatrical and celebrity culture since its debut, including its impact on American musicals, dance and style, film adaptation, Cultural Commentary, and future production.
