Hamilton at Procter & Gamble Hall

After showings in the world’s most famous locations as well as Broadway itself and London’s West End, Hamilton will now also be on tour for a limited season this winter in Procter & Gamble Hall at Aronoff Center of Cincinnati, an equally regarded entertainment venue acclaimed for its ultimate amenities fit to host world-class plays and shows.

The production honors the life of Alexander Hamilton, conceptualized and composed by the multi-talented Lin-Manuel Miranda, basing it off the 2004 biography of Ron Chernow. It retells the real life of Alexander Hamilton in a ‘hipper’ format, remaining close to the events behind his life but with and musical scoring that makes this Musical very entertaining. Hamilton initially began off Broadway in the late summer of 2015 and was instantly met with outstanding reviews from its premier. As well as a number of press articles and reviewers, The Washington Post, called it “making ecstatic history”, as the Musical’s performance with its outstanding cast including the likes of Lin-Manuel Miranda himself in the main role and Tony Award winner Jonathan Groff, wowed audiences in its first performance with a brilliant production. The show went on over the next decade to win eleven Tony Awards from 16 nominations, in addition to Olivier, Grammy, and Pulitzer Prize Awards.

Since it began in 2015, Hamilton has toured to be performed in dozens of locations around the world, where it has been receiving continuously great reviews. BroadwayWorld calls The show “the hottest ticket in town”, as it lends itself to a bigger range in audience due to it being accessible to both the older generations who appreciate the history behind the Musical, and the newer generations that hears about the exciting and innovative concept behind this production. Across in the U.K.'s London’s West End, TimeOut mentions their worry behind Hamilton being overly hyped up, but that “Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical about Alexander Hamilton, the first secretary of the U.S. Treasury, is actually better than the hype suggests”. More so, recently the touring cast in its Manila, Philippines’ performance, PEP PH describes Hamilton as a “visual and sensory feast that adds layers of depth to the narrative”; “This musical is a masterpiece not because it tells a flawless story, but because it brilliantly captures the essence of the imperfect human experience, and in doing so, it achieves perfection on the stage”, they stated.

Magazine critics and viewers alike agree that the Musical is a must-see this winter as it kicks off its tour all over America.
