Back To The Future – Theatrical Production at Procter & Gamble Hall

Going back in time to the 20th century, a nostalgic time for the current generation, Back To The Future The Musical shares the beloved story from the original 1980s motion picture and was also conceptualized from scratch by the previous picture's makers, Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale. The high-activity and visually stunning musical tells the story of Marty McFly, a fearless boy who is sent back in time.

The musical begins as Marty McFly experiences a normal routine in a teenager's life, slacking around (mainly in Marty's music group) and spending time with his girlfriend, Jennifer, while continuously being utterly inquisitive of the things he finds. His inquisitive spirit becomes his single burden, as upon making contact with Doc Brown on a fateful day, the doctor announces that his genius has enabled him to make the time machine (which is actually the DeLorean) function. A sudden emergency that happens on that night pressures Marty to accidentally turn on the DeLorean, surprising Marty and carrying him backwards to the year 1955. At first disoriented with the town and people he doesn't know, Marty soon realizes that to return to the right place and time, he must also drive history, and the family and friends who don't know him, back to what actually happened.

Heavily inspired by the movie it was based on, each set of Back To The Future serves as a callback to the locations from the original film, encompassing Hill Valley High School, Doc’s lab, the McFly’s house, and many locales in the Hill Valley area. Both the set and costume creations also stay true to the decades they represent. Back To The Future The Musical's shift to the theater stage expanded the viewership of one of the unrivaled franchises of all time, while applying changes and improvements only feasible on a theater stage.

Though the show transports us on a vivid journey back to two unique decades of the 20th century, the venue for this play is everything but dated.
